Queen Herawin is an emcee, poet, visual artist, educator, cultural ambassador, public speaker, and curriculum developer. She is a certified educator and Adjunct Professor with a focus on Hip-Hop Education, and Visual Arts. Queen Herawin is a Cultural Ambassador to the State Department through Next Level/Meridian's U.S. International Hip-Hop Diplomacy Initiative.
She is a member of the family-based Hip-Hop group, The legendary Juggaknots, with brothers Kev FEVER and Breeze Brewin, together contributing to the culture with albums such as The Re: Release, Use Your Confusion, The Love Movement and WKRP in NYC. Metamorphosis, Queen's first solo project, gave an interior view into her creative process and voice. However, foundational projects such as Lyricist Lounge Vol. 1, set a tone in the early 90’s with songs like “Weight” and being featured alongside brother Breeze Brewin on Prince Paul’s Hip-Hop-like-Opera, A Prince Among Thieves.
Some collaborations include songs with artists Apani B Fly, Jean Grae, Mr. Len, Wordsworth, Masta Ace, Slick Rick, Sadat X, Black Spade, El-P, Tiye Phoenix, Stahhr, Vinnie Paz, Mazzi, Terror Van Poo, Illa Ghee, Rachel Walker, Poison Pen, Apathy, Mickey Factz, and others.
With a foundation in Hip-Hop, education, visual arts, curriculum design, and social-emotional learning (SEL) her work is dedicated to developing innovative frameworks that integrate and advocate aspects of identity, culture, and critical thinking. She continues to push boundaries, ensuring that art remains a powerful tool for connection, growth, creative learning, and cultural preservation.
